Tips: The best 'Coffee stops' in Mallorca

In this post I propose a list of my favorite bars where I can drink coffee and regain strength during my routes around the island. I hope it helps you!

It is well known that the cyclists like to ride because of the 'coffee stop' because there is nothing like a good coffe during the route. These coffee stops are almost always accompanied by a good sandwich, a piece of cake... some food that gives you the energy to survive the route.

In Mallorca there are bars of all kinds prepared to receive cyclists: spaces with large tables, parking for bicycles, bars and supplements for sale... In this post I will present a list of the best places where you can have a good coffee and fill your belly on the island:

Ca'n Gallet (Lluc, Escorca)

If you are going to eat at Ca'n Gallet I recommend you to have your hotel clos, since you are going to be out and about. After climbing the 'Coll de sa Batalla' there is nothing more comforting than eating in this typical restaurant. The menu offers local and typical food from the island in an amazing natural environment at the center of the Serra de Tramuntana.

What I would like to point out about this restaurant are its famous breakfast, for an affordable price you can enjoy an abundant Mallorcan 'berenar' that includes loin, eggs, ham, tomato, bread... in addition to coffee and drinks.

Cycling Planet (Alaró)

This cafe is known throughout the island for its cycling atmosphere, as well as thanks to its owners, Laura and David. David is a Madison track world champion, which explains why the walls are decorated with jerseys, bicycles and medals. Much of the furniture is made with wood from the Palma velodrome before its remodeling and even the bathroom has a characteristic touch.

This place not only has an incredible atmosphere but also offers all kinds of services: It has a bicycle workshop, cafeteria service and cycling products store. In addition, their snacks are delicious!

Definitely if you visit Mallorca it is a mandatory stop.

Megaraw bar (Lloseta)

In the town of Lloseta, not far from Alaró, the Megaraw brand cafeteria has opened. This is a brand of sports foods and supplements that are distinguished by being natural, organic, gluten-free, lactose-free, soy-free and refined sugar-free.

In this cafeteria you can enjoy natural food from local production of excellent flavor, in addition to being able to buy their products to have healthy food for the rest of the route.

Bar Es Poltre (Porreres)

I was recently taken to this bar in Porreres and I loved it. This place located in the center of Porreres is an ideal stop if your route passes through 'Pla de Mallorca'. The sandwiches at this bar are very good, but what caught my attention the most is that they bring you a bowl of jelly beans and peanuts, and they also let you refill the cans.

Thanks to these details and Customer service seems to me like a bar you have to go to if you are a cyclist.

Forn Panadería Deià (Deyá)

This bakery is a necessary stop if you route crosses the Sierra de Tramuntana. The place is a store with all kinds of products, a small supermarket with a bakery. All the food is delicious, from pizza or quiche to Neapolitans and croissants. Every time I stop at this place it is full of cyclists, which is a good sign.

In addition, you can sit at the tables outside the place while you enjoy the coffee and rest before continuing your route.

I also leave you below a list of other bars and bakeries that may be of interest:

Bar S'Hostal de Montuïri (Montuïri)

Almudaina Cafe (Artá)

Sa Mola 13 (Sineu)

Sa ruta verda (Caimari)

Pa Nord Bakery (Located in Pollença, Alcudia, Sineu...)

These are the places where I usually stop during my bike rides.

I hope these recommendations will be helpful for you in your future vacations in Mallorca!
